GIS in Action 2024

Have you ever been standing on a sidewalk wondering which way to walk and wishing that the street sign could hear you and point you in the right direction? I have.

The Omnipointer uses AI and the ArcGIS Geocoder to send your voice-uttered destination onto a swiveling display that points you in the right direction while updating the distance and destination name, just like a real sign!

In this session, we'll dive into the challenges of creating the Omnipointer. We'll be looking at the physical device that is the Omnipointer and how it works!

This is a study in alternative UI/UX as well as some fun building an extravagant device!
